There are many activities and things we can do during your break in Serra da Estrela. The Sierra offers a wide range of activities during both winter and summer.
Outdoor sports, especially skiing, has a predominant place within the list of activities on offer in the area. Skiing in the Vodafone ski resort of Serra da Estrela is normally possible between three or four months of the year, while during summer the many routes across the Sierra allow for mountain biking and hiking.
You can also drive through the natural park by car, enjoy views of the small towns and villages such as Seia, Guarda, Manteigas, and a large number of towns from which you can enjoy the views or sample delicious Portuguese cuisine.
In Manteigas you can also visit the hot springs, enjoy the taste of the famous cheese of the Sierra or visit Corvelho, a municipality that has an impressive historical centre.
